Gear Box Repair

Gearco has a fully equipped gear box repair facility in our Seven Hills plant. Industrial gearboxes weighing up to 5 tonnes, are regularly reconditioned to customer specifications.

Each gearbox is stripped and hot washed to remove grease & dirt. Parts are inspected for damage & distortion, and gearing items are MPI tested for cracks to ensure they can be re-used.

Cases are repainted internally with oil resistant paint then shafts & gears are re-fitted with new bearings & seals. Units are test run to ensure all gearing is working correctly and there are no oil leaks. During testing, vibration & temperature readings are taken as specified by our customer.
